This project will widen Hood Drive to include right and left turn lanes in coordination with a county project to build a future medical facility under permit. This proposed road project is part of Spotsylvania County’s corridor improvement plans for Hood Drive.
This project is being funded by Spotsylvania County.
This project is being built at the same time as the separate $5.9 million Route 208 (Courthouse Road) and Hood Drive intersection improvement project, which is funded through the state SMART SCALE program and federal regional transportation funds.
One-Way Traffic on Hood Drive
Starting July 18, 2023, traffic on Hood Drive will be in a one-way pattern through June 2024 to accommodate construction of this project. Read the news release to learn more about this temporary pattern and detour.
