AVOID TRAVEL DURING HAZARDOUS SNOW CONDITIONS IN THE SHENANDOAH VALLEY TONIGHT

STAUNTON –  (10:00 p.m.) Snow and flurries have begun in the Shenandoah Valley and Alleghany Highlands.

Snow is forecasted to fall throughout the region during the night. Travel is not advised during the snow storm, which may bring three to five inches to the area. Weather conditions can deteriorate rapidly with forecasted heavy snow fall, possibly at an inch per hour in the northern part of the Shenandoah Valley later tonight. Snowfall at this rate can quickly create hazardous driving and road conditions.
