TRAFFIC ALERT: SOUTHBOUND INTERSTATE 81 LANE AND OFF RAMP CLOSURE SCHEDULED AT EXIT 137 FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHT
SALEM – Starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, the right lane of southbound Interstate 81 in Roanoke County near Salem at mile marker 137 will be closed for overnight paving. In addition, the off ramp at exit 137 from southbound I-81 onto Wildwood Road will be closed.
The lane and ramp are expected to remain closed until 6 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, Dec. 1. Drivers should expect delays and consider adjusting travel patterns.
This paving will occur within the work zone for the I-81 widening project underway between exits 137 and 141.
