SALEM – As work continues on I-81 at exit 114, a traffic switch to the new bridge and paving operations have been scheduled that will require lane and ramp closures.

Beginning Sunday night, March 8, from 9 p.m. through Monday morning, March 9 at 6 a.m., a left lane closure will be in place on northbound I-81 between mile marker 114 and 115 for barrier wall relocation.

On Monday night, March 9, a left lane closure will be in place from mile marker 114 to 115 on I-81 northbound from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning, March 10, for paving.

From Friday, March 13 at 6 p.m. through Saturday morning, March 14 at 11 a.m., a left lane closure for paving will be in place on northbound I-81 between mile markers 114 and 115.

In addition, on Friday, March 13 at 7 p.m. through Saturday morning, March 14 at 11 a.m., the entrance ramp from Route 8 onto I-81 northbound at mile marker 114 will be closed for paving of the ramp.

Once these paving operations are complete, traffic will be switched onto the new bridge.

Message boards will be in place to alert drivers and drivers should use caution in the work zone.
