TRAFFIC ALERT: DETOUR ON SENECA HOLLOW ROAD IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY TO BE LIFTED TEMPORARILY
SALEM – The traffic detour currently in place on Route 636 (Seneca Hollow Road) due to a bridge replacement project in Montgomery County has been temporarily lifted today, Thursday, July 16. The detour will be implemented again starting the week of July 27.
Route 636 traffic has been detoured since July 3 due to a project that will replace the bridge over the Roanoke River. As part of the detour, drivers are entering and exiting Route 460 at Friendship Road near Wheeling Hollow.
As of today, Thursday, July 16, the detour has been temporarily removed until the week of July 27 when heavy equipment required for work on the project can arrive from another location.
Message boards will be in place to alert drivers when the detour will resume.
