SALEM – Weather permitting, weekend lane closures are scheduled on southbound Interstate 81, December 20 through December 22, from mile marker 128 to 126 in Montgomery County.

On Friday, December 20, starting at 11 p.m., the right and center southbound lanes along with the exit 128 ramp onto southbound I-81 will be closed.  The center lane is expected to reopen during the late morning hours on Saturday, December 21 and the right lane and on ramp will reopened by 2 p.m.

On Saturday, December 21, starting at 11 p.m., the left and center southbound lanes will be closed.  The center lane is expected to reopen during the late morning hours on Sunday, December 22 and the left will reopened by 2 p.m.

These lane closures will be in place so crews can install line markings on Interstate 81 at mile marker 126 where slope repairs are now complete.
