SECTION OF BEAVER DAM ROAD (ROUTE 715) NOW OPEN FOLLOWING BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT IN HANOVER COUNTY
The project began in April 2021
SOUTH CHESTERFIELD, Va. —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) completed a bridge replacement project on Beaver Dam Road (Route 715) over Newfound River in Hanover County on Wednesday, October 27. The closure was located between Connie Hall Road (Route 781) and Old Ridge Road (Route 631).
The existing structure was constructed in 1959, and the $1.2 million replacement project began in April 2021. The bridge carries approximately 3,800 vehicles per day.
The detour has been lifted.
