INTERCHANGE IMPROVEMENTS BEGIN AT ROUTE 288 AND BROAD STREET ROAD (ROUTE 250) IN GOOCHLAND
Project includes added turn lanes, allowing for larger traffic volumes and enhanced safety

SOUTH CHESTERFIELD—The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will begin construction on interchange improvements at Route 288 and Broad Street Road (Route 250) in Goochland County. Weather permitting, the project is expected to start on Monday, March 30.

The purpose of the project is to improve the interchanges for both lanes of Route 288 and Broad Street Road, including added turn lanes and traffic signals.

Project benefits include accommodations for higher traffic volumes and increased safety within the project’s limits.

The total cost of the project is approximately $3.7 million. Weather permitting, work is expected to be complete in fall 2020.
