VDOT TO HOLD “PARDON OUR DUST” MEETING ON I-195 SOUTH BRIDGE REPAIR PROJECT OVER POWHITE PARKWAY (ROUTE 76) AND CSX IN RICHMOND
Project will extend the lifetime of the bridge
SOUTH CHESTERFIELD — The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will host a “pardon our dust” meeting on an upcoming project to repair the I-195 south bridge over Powhite Parkway (Route 76) and CSX in the City of Richmond. Beginning in late October, the ramp from Cary Street/Cameron Avenue to I-195 south will be closed until project completion in winter 2021 with a detour in place. All lanes of I-195 south will remain open throughout the project.
The public can stop by between 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15 at Mary Munford Elementary School, located at 211 Westmoreland Avenue, Richmond, VA 23226. The meeting will be an open house format, which will provide an opportunity for individuals, businesses or organizations to learn more about the upcoming work.
Anyone requiring special assistance to attend and participate in this informational meeting may contact VDOT’s Civil Rights Division at (804) 524-6091 or TDD/TTY 711.
