REPAIRS COMPLETE ON TWO ROADS DAMAGED BY TROPICAL STORM MICHAEL
Third, and final, road nearing completion
SOUTH CHESTERFIELD - Two roads closed since October 2018, when they were damaged by Tropical Storm Michael, are now open to traffic.
Crews finished repairs and reopened the following roads:
- Giles Rd. (Rt. 637) near Jones Lake in Amelia County
- Bent Creek Rd. (Rt. 643) over Little Bent Creek in Amelia County
At one point, more than 200 roads in the region were closed by the storm. Now, only one remains closed:
- Mt. Herman Rd. (Rt. 606) over Otterdale Branch in Chesterfield County. Estimated completion May 2019.
