Ravensworth Road Nighttime Closure in Annandale September 25
Detour in place during stormwater pipe replacement
ANNANDALE – Ravensworth Road (Route 2864) between Braddock Road (Route 620) and Little River Turnpike (Route 236) will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, from 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 for stormwater pipe replacement, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Those needing to reach properties along Ravensworth Road will have access; however, drivers and bicyclists will not be able to go beyond the point of pipe replacement (located between Carmine Street and Davian Drive) in either direction. Pedestrian access via the path on the west side of Ravensworth Road will be maintained.
Through traffic will be detoured via Ravensworth Road, Braddock Road, Backlick Road (Route 617) and John Marr Drive back to Ravensworth Road. Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs.
