VDOT News - Northern Virginia

VIENNA – Idylwood Road (Route 695) between Central Avenue (Route 781) and Cedar Lane (Route 698) will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, Monday, September 11 through Thursday, September 14 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day for stormwater pipe replacement, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Those needing to reach properties along Idylwood Road will have access; however, traffic will not be able to go beyond the point of pipe replacement (near 8302 Idylwood Road, immediately west of the Cedar Lane intersection) in either direction.

Through traffic will be detoured via Idylwood Road, Williams Avenue (Route 896), Electric Avenue (Route 697) and Cedar Lane back to Idylwood Road. Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs.
