Ticonderoga Road Daytime Closures in South Riding Oct. 17 - Nov. 4
Detour in placing during paving
SOUTH RIDING – Ticonderoga Road (Route 613) between Gum Spring Road (Route 659) and Braddock Road (Route 620) will have daytime closures, weather permitting, Monday, Oct. 17 through Friday, Oct. 21, Monday, Oct. 24 through Friday, Oct. 28 and Monday, Oct. 31 through Friday, Nov. 4 for paving, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Ticonderoga Road will be closed to through traffic between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day.
Those needing to reach properties along Ticonderoga Road including school buses will have access.
Through traffic will be detoured via Ticonderoga Road, Gum Spring Road and Braddock Road back to Ticonderoga Road.
The paving of a little over a mile of Ticonderoga Road is occurring under VDOT’s Rural Rustic Road Program, which aims to preserve the traditional feel of a rural road while making surface and other improvements within the current right of way.
Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians are reminded to use caution when traveling in active work zones. Be alert to new traffic patterns and limit distractions.
