Pipe Replacement along Wenner Road in Lovettsville May 9
Drivers asked to follow posted detour
LOVETTSVILLE – Wenner Road (Route 663) between Quarter Branch Road (Route 855) and Route 287 (Berlin Turnpike) will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, Monday, May 9 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to replace a stormwater pipe, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Those needing to reach properties along Wenner Road will have access; however, traffic will not be able to go beyond the point of pipe replacement in either direction.
Through traffic will be detoured via Quarter Branch Road and Route 287 back to Wenner Road. Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs.
Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians are reminded to use caution when traveling in active work zones. Be alert to new traffic patterns and limit distractions.
