FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours next week at the following I-66 interchanges as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Details include:

Monday night, June 6, through Thursday night, June 9
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 28 North
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. nightly for wall work. Traffic will be detoured to Route 28 South, to Route 29 (Lee Highway) North, stay to the right and follow signs to Route 28 North. 

Ramp from I-66 West to Braddock Road/Walney Road
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. nightly for wall work. Traffic will be detoured to Route 28 South, to Route 29 North, follow signs to Route 28 North, then follow signs to the Braddock Road/Walney Road left exit.

Monday, June 6, through Friday, June 10
Ramp from I-66 East to I-495 North  
The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. nightly for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to I-495 South, take the exit to Route 50 (Arlington Boulevard) East, stay to the right to Fairview Park, take the left fork to Fairview Park North, bear left at the traffic signal, then stay to the right following signs to I-495 North.

Monday, June 6, through Friday, June 10
Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. nightly for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) East, travel about one mile, then follow signs to I-66 East. 

Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. nightly for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Route 7 West, stay to the right to I-495 South, then follow signs to I-66 West.

Monday night, June 6
Ramp from Nutley Street South to I-66 East 
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for overhead sign removal. Traffic will be detoured farther south, stay to the left and make a U-turn at the traffic signal at Route 29 (Lee Highway) onto Nutley Street North, then follow signs to I-66 East.

Tuesday night, June 7
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 29 North and South Centreville
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for sign structure work. Traffic will be detoured farther east to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) North, stay right to I-66 West, then follow signs to Route 29 Centreville.

Friday night, June 10
Ramp from Route 28 North to Braddock Road/Walney Road
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for sign structure work. Traffic will be directed to continue farther north to the Westfields Boulevard Interchange. Drivers traveling to Braddock Road will take the exit to Westfields Boulevard West, then continue to Braddock Road. Drivers traveling to Walney Road will take the exit to Westfields Boulevard East, then turn right onto Walney Road.
