FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours next week at the following I-66 interchanges as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Details include:

Monday night, February 14, and Tuesday night, February 15
Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) West, stay to the right to I-495 South, then follow signs to I-66 West. 

Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Route 7 East, travel about one mile, then follow signs to I-66 East.

Monday night, February 14, through Thursday night, February 17
Ramp from I-66 East to I-495 North
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to I-495 South, exit to Route 50 (Arlington Boulevard) East, stay to the right to Fairview Park, take the left fork to Fairview Park North, bear left at the traffic signal, then stay to the right following signs to I-495 North.

Tuesday, February 15, and Wednesday, February 16
Ramp from I-66 West to I-495 South and the 495 Express Lanes South
The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night for a traffic shift on I-66 West. Traffic will be directed farther west to the exit to Nutley Street, stay to the left and turn left at the traffic signal onto Nutley Street South, stay to the right to I-66 East, and follow signs to I-495 South or to the 495 Express Lanes South. 

Tuesday night, February 15, through Thursday night, February 17
Ramp from Nutley Street North to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for barrier work. Traffic will be directed to I-66 West, exit to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road), stay to the left and turn left at the traffic signal onto Route 123 South. Traffic will then stay to the left and turn left at the next traffic signal to reach I-66 East.

Thursday night, February 17, through Saturday night, February 19
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 28 South
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for utility work. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 29 (Lee Highway) Centreville, stay to the left and turn left at the traffic signal onto Route 29 North, then follow signs to Route 28 South.
