Overnight Lane Closures Planned on I-66 East in Dunn Loring Next Week, March 2-6, for Overhead Bridge Work
FAIRFAX – I-66 East approaching Cedar Lane in Vienna will be reduced to a single travel lane during the overnight hours next week, Wednesday, March 2, through Sunday, March 6. The nightly closures are necessary for continued installation of bridge beams for a new access ramp to the future I-66 Express Lanes along eastbound I-66. On Wednesday through Sunday nights, eastbound I-66 traffic will run in a single lane behind barrier on the old general-purpose lanes. This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Drivers traveling on I-66 these nights should expect delays and consider using alternate routes.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
Details include:
Wednesday, March 2, through Sunday, March 6
