Chapel Road Closures in Clifton May 9-11
Daytime detours in place during stormwater pipe replacement
CLIFTON – Chapel Road (Route 641) between Water Street and Yates Ford Road (Route 612) will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, Monday, May 9 through Wednesday, May 11 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day to replace a stormwater pipe, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Those needing to reach properties along Chapel Road will have access; however, traffic will not be able to go beyond the point of pipe replacement in either direction.
Through traffic will be detoured via Chapel Road, Main Street (Route 645), School Street, Clifton Road (Route 645) and Wolf Run Shoals Road (Route 610) back to Chapel Road. Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs.
Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians are reminded to use caution when traveling in active work zones. Be alert to new traffic patterns and limit distractions.
