Traffic Stoppages Planned on I-66 East and West Near Monument Drive in Fairfax for Utility Work on Tuesday Night, May 18
FAIRFAX – Traffic stoppages are planned for I-66 East and West approaching Monument Drive on Tuesday, May 18, between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m., so that Dominion Energy can work on overhead lines. Traffic on I-66 will be stopped three times in both directions simultaneously for up to 20 minutes each to accommodate this work, which is needed for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
State Police will be on hand to aid in the coordination of the stoppages. Drivers should expect delays in the area during this work.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled to Wednesday night, May 19, if inclement conditions occur.
