Overnight Ramp Closures Next Week at I-66 Interchanges at Route 50, Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road), and Braddock Road to Route 28 South
FAIRFAX – Temporary overnight ramp closures are scheduled to occur next week at several I-66 interchanges throughout the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project corridor.
Details include:
Sunday, April 18
Ramp from Route 50 West to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for bridge work. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 608 (West Ox Road) South, stay to the right to Route 50 East, and then follow signs to I-66 West.
Monday, April 19, through Saturday, April 24
Ramp from Route 50 East to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed nightly from midnight to 4 a.m. (to 5 a.m. Saturday and Sunday) for bridge work. Traffic will be directed farther east, stay to the left and use the left-most left turn lane to make a U-turn at the traffic signal at Waples Mill Road, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 East.
Monday, April 19
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road)
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for paving work. Traffic will be directed farther east, exit to Nutley Street South, stay to the left and turn left at the signal onto Nutley Street North, follow signs to I-66 West, and then exit at Route 123.
Monday, April 19, through Wednesday, April 21
Ramp from Route 50 West to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 608 (West Ox Road) South, stay to the right for Route 50 East, then follow signs to I-66 East.
Thursday, April 22
Ramp from Braddock Road to Route 28 South
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. to set barriers. Traffic will be directed to travel west on Braddock Road, turn right onto Westfields Boulevard, and then follow signs to Route 28 South.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
