Overnight Ramp Closures at the I-66/Route 50 Interchange Next Week

FAIRFAX – Two ramps from Route 50 to I-66 are scheduled to close during overnight hours next week as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Details include:

Monday night, April 26 (Tuesday night, April 27, as back-up night)
Ramp from Route 50 East to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be detoured farther east, stay to the left and use the left-most left turn lane to make a U-turn at the traffic signal at Waples Mill Road, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 East.

Tuesday night, April 27 (Wednesday night, April 28, as back-up night)
Ramp from Route 50 West to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for barrier placement. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 608 (West Ox Road) South, stay to the right to Route 50 East, then follow signs to I-66 East.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
