Overnight Ramp Closures at Multiple I-66 Interchanges This Weekend, June 18-19, and Next Week, June 20-26, for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project

UPDATE (6/21/2021): Additional nights have been added to the following ramp closures:
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 123 North and South
Monday night, June 21, through Saturday night, June 26: Midnight to 4 a.m. 
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 50 West
Monday night, June 21, through Saturday night, June 26: Midnight to 4 a.m.

Also, this ramp closure has been added to this week's schedule:
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 28 North and Braddock Road/Walney Road
Tuesday, June 22: Midnight to 4 a.m.
The ramp will be closed for a traffic shift. Traffic will be detoured to Route 28 South, to Route 29 North, stay to the right and follow signs to Route 28 North, then follow signs to the Braddock Road/Walney Road left exit.

FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours next week at several I-66 interchanges as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Details include:

Friday, June 18, through Saturday, June 26
Ramp from Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) North and South to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Sunday through Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a traffic switch. Traffic on northbound Route 234 Business will be directed to turn left at Balls Ford Road, travel about two miles, turn right onto Route 234 Bypass (Prince William Parkway) North, then follow signs to I-66 West. Traffic on southbound Route 234 Business will be directed to turn right on to Route 29 (Lee Highway) South, and then follow signs to I-66 West.

Friday, June 18, through Saturday, June 26
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 234 Business North and South
The ramp will be closed Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Sunday through Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to exit to 234 Bypass South prior to the closure, then turn left on to Balls Ford Road to reach Route 234 Business North or South.

Friday, June 18, through Saturday, June 26
Ramp from Route 234 Business South to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Sunday through Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a traffic switch. Traffic will be directed to make a U-turn at Balls Ford Road to Route 234 Business North and then follow signs to I-66 East.

Friday, June 18, through Saturday, June 26
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 234 Business North and South
The ramp will be closed Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Sunday through Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to continue farther west, exit to Route 29 North, turn left at the traffic signal on to Route 29 South, stay to the right to I-66 East and then exit to Route 234 Business. 

Friday, June 18, through Saturday, June 26
Ramp from Route 234 Bypass to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Sunday through Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a traffic shift. Traffic will be detoured to I-66 West, exit to Route 29 North, turn left at the traffic signal on to Route 29 South, then stay to the right to I-66 East.  

Friday, June 18, through Saturday, June 26
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 234 Bypass
The ramp will be closed Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Sunday through Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a traffic shift. Traffic will continue farther east, exit to Route 234 Business, turn left, stay to the left and turn left at the traffic signal to I-66 West, then exit to Route 234 Bypass. 

Monday night, June 21, through Friday night, June 25
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 28 South
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 29, turn left at the traffic signal to Route 29 North, then follow signs to Route 28 South.  

Monday night, June 21, through Saturday night, June 26
Ramp from Route 50 West to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 608 (West Ox Road) South, stay to the right to Route 50 East, then follow signs to I-66 East.  

Tuesday night, June 22, through Sunday morning, June 27
Ramp from Route 50 West to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed Tuesday through Thursday nights from midnight to 4 a.m. On Friday the ramp will be closed at 11 p.m. and remain closed until 7 a.m. Sunday. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 608 (West Ox Road) South, stay to the right to Route 50 East, then follow signs to I-66 West.

Tuesday night, June 22, through Saturday night, June 26
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 50 West
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night. Traffic will be directed to Route 50 East (prior to the closure), stay to the left and use the left-most left turn lane to make a U-turn at the traffic signal at Waples Mill Road on to Route 50 West.

Thursday night, June 24
Ramps from I-66 West to Nutley Street North and South
The ramps will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for paving work. Traffic will be detoured farther west to the exit for the Vienna/Fairfax/GMU Metro, stay to the right on to Country Creek Road, continue on to Virginia Center Boulevard, then turn left or right at the traffic signal to go north or south on Nutley Street.

Thursday night, June 24, through Saturday night, June 26
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) North and South
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night. Traffic will be directed farther east, exit to Nutley Street, turn left at the traffic signal on to northbound Nutley Street, turn left at the traffic signal to I-66 West, and then take the exit to Route 123 North and South.  

Thursday night, June 24, through Saturday night, June 26
Ramp from Route 123 North and South to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night. Traffic will be directed to I-66 West, exit to Route 50 East, stay to the right, and then follow signs to I-66 East.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
