Update: The daytime closures of Fleetwood Road have been extended, weather permitting, to Monday, Dec. 13 and Tuesday, Dec. 14 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.

ALDIE – Fleetwood Road (Route 616) between Route 50 and Nicholson Meadows Place/Revival Drive will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, Tuesday, Dec. 7 through Friday, Dec. 10 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day for pavement patching, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Those needing to reach properties along the closed quarter-mile section of Fleetwood Road will have access.

Through traffic will be detoured via Route 50, Lenah Ridge Place, Meadow Wheel Drive and Nicholson Meadows Place back to Fleetwood Road.

Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians are reminded to use caution when traveling in active work zones. Be alert to new traffic patterns and limit distractions.
