Westpark Drive and Westbranch Drive Traffic Signal in Tysons Complete
Safety improvements include Accessible Pedestrian Signals
TYSONS – A new traffic signal aimed at improving safety for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians is complete at Westpark Drive and Westbranch Drive in Tysons, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The project’s other safety improvements include:
- Four Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) crossings (expected to be active in the coming weeks)
- Bicycle detection
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramp upgrades
- Pavement markings
- Signage
More than 11,000 vehicles travel through this intersection each day.
