Traffic Stoppages Planned on I-66 East and West at Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) for Overhead Utility Work on Sunday Night, Oct. 4, and Monday Night, Oct. 5
FAIRFAX – Traffic stoppages are planned for I-66 East and West during the overnight hours on Sunday, October 4, and Monday, October 5, between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. Stoppages are needed for Dominion Energy to work on overhead wires at Route 123. Three 20-minute stoppages of traffic are planned to occur simultaneously in both directions of I-66 each night to accommodate this work, which is needed for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
State Police will be on hand to aid in the coordination of the stoppages. Drivers should expect delays in the area during this work.
All work is weather dependent. Work will be rescheduled for the follow day if inclement conditions occur.
