Springvale Road Bridge over Piney Run in Great Falls Temporary Truck Restrictions June 9-10, Closed June 16
Detour in place during soil borings


GREAT FALLS – The Springvale Road (Route 674) one-lane bridge over Piney Run will have temporary truck restrictions (weather permitting) Tuesday, June 9 and Wednesday, June 10 between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day to conduct soil borings, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Trucks will not be permitted to use the bridge, but all other traffic will be controlled via a flagging operation.

On Tuesday, June 16, the bridge will be closed to all traffic between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to continue the borings.

Through truck traffic June 9-10 and all through traffic June 16 will be detoured via Springvale Road, Route 7 (Leesburg Pike), Utterback Store Road and Route 193 (Georgetown Pike) back to Springvale Road.
