VIENNA - Beginning on or about March 23 and continuing through 2020, drivers from eastbound Route 7 to Laurel Hill Road and Glenridge Court must turn right at the east entrance to McLean Bible Church and use the service road to access Laurel Hill Road and Glenridge Court. Right turns from the service road to eastbound Route 7 will still be permitted. 

The temporary modification of the approach to these residential streets will facilitate construction in the median that will add a lane and shared-use path in each direction of Route 7.

Please note crews are only working within the VDOT right of way. Work on private property along the corridor will not start until rights are acquired from property owners. (read more).

As a reminder, the Route 7 speed limit has been reduced to 45 miles per hour in active work zones between Reston Avenue and Jarrett Valley Drive, and Virginia law prohibits the use of handheld cell phones while driving through an active work zone.

Please use caution and be alert to work zone signs, potential flagger or police direction, and watch for traffic shifts. Slow-moving vehicles and equipment may be entering or exiting the road.
