Pipe Replacement along Irish Corner Road in Lovettsville July 20-22
Drivers asked to follow posted detour during road closure
LOVETTSVILLE – Irish Corner Road (Route 673) between Elvan Road (Route 673) and Long Lane (Route 853) will be closed to through traffic (weather permitting) from 9 a.m. Monday, July 20 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 to replace stormwater pipes, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Those needing to reach properties along Irish Corner Road will have access; however, traffic will not be able to go beyond the point of pipe replacement in either direction.
Through traffic will be detoured via Elvan Road, Axline Road (Route 680), Lutheran Church Road (Route 676), Route 287 (Berlin Turnpike) and West Broad Way (Route 673) back to Irish Corner Road.
