FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur next week during the overnight hours at the I-66 interchanges with Route 28 and I-495 so that crews can perform various construction activities for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Details include:
Tuesday, June 30, and Wednesday, July 1
Ramp from Route 28 South to I-66 West

• The ramp from southbound Route 28 to westbound I-66 will be closed Tuesday night, June 30, and Wednesday night, July 1, from midnight to 4 a.m. nightly for paving operations. Traffic will be directed to continue south to exit to Route 29 South, then follow signs to I-66 West.

Monday, June 29, and Wednesday, July 1
Ramp from I-66 East to 495 Express Lanes South

• The ramp from eastbound I-66 to the southbound 495 Express Lanes will be closed Monday night, June 29, and Wednesday night, July 1, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for crews to perform utility work. Traffic will be directed to use the I-495 South general purpose lanes.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
