Overnight Ramp Closures For The I-66 Outside The Beltway Project Next Week
Closures planned at Route 123 and Route 29 Centreville
FAIRFAX – Two ramp closures are scheduled for the overnight hours of Tuesday, Jan. 7, for crews to perform utility work for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Details include:
Tuesday, Jan. 7
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road)
- The ramp from I-66 West to Route 123 will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 7, from midnight to 4 a.m. Drivers will be detoured farther west to Route 50 East, stay to the left for I-66 East, then follow signs to Route 123 North or South.
Ramp from Route 29 South in Centreville to I-66 East
- The ramp from southbound Route 29 in Centreville to I-66 East will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 7, from midnight to 4 a.m. Drivers will be directed farther south to Stone Road, make a U-turn and stay to the left, then make a left at the traffic signal for the ramp to I-66 East. As an alternate route, drivers may travel farther north and take Route 28 North to I-66 East.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
