FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours next week at the I-66/Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) Interchange so that crews can perform drainage work for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. 

Details include:

Monday, September 14, through Friday, September 18
Ramp from Route 234 Business North and South to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed Monday, September 14, through Thursday, September 17, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. nightly, and Friday, September 18, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic will be detoured north of I-66 to Route 29 South, travel about four miles then follow signs to I-66 West. As an alternate route, drivers on Route 234 Business can go west on Balls Ford Road, turn right on to Route 234 (Prince William Parkway North), then follow signs to I-66 West.

The ramp will be closed Monday, September 14, through Thursday, September 17, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. nightly, and Friday, September 18, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic will be directed to Route 234 Business North, turn right at the traffic signal on to Battleview Parkway, turn right on Infantry Ridge Road, left on Battleview Parkway, then make a left at the traffic signal on to Route 234 Business South.

Message boards on I-66 are providing advance notice of lane closures and traffic stoppages. 

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
