Overnight Lane Closures, Periodic Stoppages on I-66 East and West Between Stringfellow Road and West Ox Road Next Week for Overhead Gantry Removal
FAIRFAX – Overnight lane closures and periodic stoppages are planned next week on I-66 East and West between Stringfellow Road and West Ox Road so that crews can remove overhead gantries as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Details include:
Monday, November 16, through Wednesday, November 18
I-66 East and West between Stringfellow Road and West Ox Road
- Three lanes will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Periodic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m. for overhead gantry removal.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
The I-66 Outside the Beltway Express Lanes are expected to open in December 2022.
