FAIRFAX – Overnight lane closures and traffic stoppages on I-66 East near Vaden Drive in Vienna are scheduled Wednesday night, December 16, through Friday night, December 18, for overhead bridge work for the new Vaden Drive Bridge over I-66. This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Drivers should expect delays if traveling in this area and should consider using alternate routes.

Wednesday, December 16, through Friday December 18
I-66 East from Blake Lane to Vaden Drive

• I-66 East will be reduced to one travel lane approaching Vaden Drive from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
• Drivers should expect periodic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m.
• All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m.

Message boards on I-66 East are providing advance notice of lane closures and traffic stoppages. 

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
