Lane Closures, Periodic Stoppages on I-66 West Near Waples Mill Road on Wednesday, September 2, for Overhead Sign Removal
FAIRFAX – Three left lanes on westbound I-66 between Jermantown Road and Waples Mill Road will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, for overhead gantry removal. Drivers should expect period 20-minute stoppages between midnight and 4 a.m. This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
The I-66 Outside the Beltway Express Lanes are expected to open in December 2022.
