Lane Closures, Periodic Stoppages on I-66 West near Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) Next Week for Overhead Sign Removal
FAIRFAX – Three left lanes will be closed on westbound I-66 between Blake Lane and Route 123 during overnight hours, Wednesday, September 30, through Friday, October 2, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. nightly for overhead gantry removal as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. Drivers should expect period 20-minute stoppages between midnight and 4 a.m.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
The I-66 Outside the Beltway Express Lanes are expected to open in December 2022.
