Lane Closures, Periodic Stoppages On I-66 East Next Week For Overhead Sign Removal
FAIRFAX - Drivers can expect overnight lane closures and periodic stoppages due to overhead gantry removal on I-66 East between Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) and Route 29 Centreville, and on I-66 East between Route 608 (West Ox Road) and Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) next week.
Details include:
Tuesday, Feb. 18: I-66 East from West Ox Road to Route 123
- Three lanes will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Periodic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m. for overhead gantry removal.
Wednesday, Feb. 19: I-66 East from Sudley Road to Route 29 Centreville
- Three lanes will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Periodic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m. for overhead gantry removal.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
The I-66 Outside the Beltway Express Lanes are expected to open in December 2022.
