Lane Closures, Periodic Stoppages On I-66 East Near Route 234 Business Next Week For Overhead Sign Removal
FAIRFAX – Three left lanes will be closed on eastbound I-66 between Groveton Road and Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Monday, May 11, for overhead gantry removal related to the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. Drivers should expect slowdowns and 20-minute stoppages between midnight and 4 a.m.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
The I-66 Outside the Beltway Express Lanes are expected to open in December 2022.
