Traffic Stoppages Planned on I-66 East and West Near Blake Lane During Overnight Hours Thursday, Nov. 14, and Friday, Nov. 15
Cox Communications Overhead Line Work to Occur

FAIRFAX – Traffic stoppages and lane closures are planned for I-66 East and West during the overnight hours of Thursday, Nov. 14, and Friday, Nov. 15, so that Cox Communications can work on overhead lines near Blake Lane. Traffic on I-66 will be periodically stopped in both directions for up to 20 minutes to accommodate this work, which is needed for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Thursday, Nov. 14, and Friday, Nov. 15:

I-66 East between Route 123 and Blake Lane

I-66 West between Cedar Lane and Blake Lane

  • Three lanes will be closed on I-66 East between Route 123 and Blake Lane between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
  • Three lanes will be closed on I-66 West between Cedar Lane and Blake Lane between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
  • Periodic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m. in both directions on I-66 between Route 123 and Cedar Lane.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
