Overnight Ramp Closures on I-66 Saturday Night
Closures planned at Route 123 and Route 28 Interchanges

FAIRFAX, Va. - Overnight ramp closures are scheduled for Saturday, January 5, on the ramp from southbound Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) to westbound I-66 and the ramp from eastbound I-66 to northbound Route 28 (Sully Road) so that crews can repair impact attenuators.

Details include:

Saturday, January 5: Ramp from Route 123 South to I-66 West

  • The ramp from southbound Route 123 to westbound I-66 will be closed during the overnight hours of Saturday, January 5, from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. to repair a crash attenuator
  • Traffic will be detoured farther south to the I-66 East ramp, stay to the right for Route 123 North, and then follow signs to I-66 West

Saturday, January 5: Ramp from I-66 East to Route 28 North

  • The ramp from eastbound I-66 to northbound Route 28 will be closed during the overnight hours of Saturday, January 5, between midnight and 4 a.m. to repair a crash attenuator
  • Traffic will be detoured to the exit for Route 286 North, stay to the right to follow signs to I-66 West back to Route 28 North

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
