I-66 West in Arlington Overnight Traffic Shift Postponed to June 14
Westbound lanes shifting back to normal configuration on bridge over George Washington Memorial Parkway and Route 110 ramps

ROSSLYN – The overnight traffic shift scheduled to occur Thursday night, June 13 on westbound I-66 lanes on the bridge over the ramp from southbound George Washington Memorial Parkway to eastbound I-66/westbound Route 50 and the ramp from northbound Route 110 to westbound I-66 has been postponed to Friday night, June 14 due to weather, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The westbound I-66 lanes will shift to the left between 10 p.m. Friday, June 14 and 6 a.m. Saturday, June 15.

Drivers should expect delays and are advised to use alternate routes.

As a result of this shift, the westbound I-66 lanes will be back in their normal configuration. Since April, westbound I-66 has been routed on the outside of the bridge to allow rehabilitation work to occur on the inside. Eastbound I-66 was shifted back to its normal configuration Tuesday night, June 11.

The I-66 over Route 110 and George Washington Memorial Parkway ramps project is scheduled for completion later this summer.
