I-66 West in Arlington Overnight Traffic Shift April 23
Lanes shifting to right on bridge over George Washington Memorial Parkway and Route 110 ramps
Update: The traffic shift has been rescheduled. It will now occur between 10 p.m. Wednesday night, April 24 and 6 a.m. Thursday morning, April 25.
ROSSLYN – The westbound I-66 lanes on the bridge over the ramp from southbound George Washington Memorial Parkway to eastbound I-66/westbound Route 50 and the ramp from northbound Route 110 to westbound I-66 will be shifting overnight Tuesday, April 23, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Currently on westbound I-66, two lanes get by on the median side of the bridge, which has allowed rehabilitation work to occur on the outside portion of the bridge. The westbound lanes will shift to the right between 10 p.m. Tuesday night, April 23 and 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, April 24, in order to allow rehabilitation work to proceed on the median side.
Drivers should expect delays during that timeframe Tuesday night and are advised to use alternate routes.
The I-66 over Route 110 and George Washington Memorial Parkway ramps project is scheduled for completion this summer.
