Daytime Lane Closures on I-66 Between Gainesville and I-495 Sunday, February 3, through Wednesday, February 6, for Lane Marking and Pothole Repairs
FAIRFAX, Va. – Daytime multi-lane closures are planned to occur on I-66 East and West between Route 29 in Gainesville and I-495 Sunday, February 3, through Wednesday, February 6. Crews will be refreshing lane markings and repairing potholes for the I-66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Sunday, February 3 – Refreshing Lane Markings
- I-66 East and West between Route 29 in Gainesville and I-495 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Monday, February 4 – Repairing Potholes
- I-66 East from Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) to Bull Run Rest Area from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- I-66 West from Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) to Groveton Road from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Tuesday, February 5 – Repairing Potholes
- I-66 East from Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) to Bull Run Rest Area from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- I-66 West from Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) to Groveton Road from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- I-66 East from Stringfellow Road to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- I-66 West from West Ox Road to Stringfellow Road from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday, February 6 – Repairing Potholes
- I-66 East from Stringfellow Road to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- I-66 West from West Ox Road to Stringfellow Road from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Drivers are advised to use caution and expect potential travel delays.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
