Arcola Road Closure Begins Thursday
Closed for Arcola Boulevard construction until late summer
ARCOLA – Arcola Road (Route 842) between Evergreen Mills Road (Route 621) and Trade West Drive will be closed to through traffic Thursday, Jan. 10 until late summer 2019 to facilitate construction of Arcola Boulevard, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Businesses located along the closed portion of Arcola Road and utilities needing to access Arcola Road will still be able to do so, as will emergency vehicles.
In addition, the section of Arcola Road east of Trade West Drive will be closed to all non-construction traffic except Dominion Virginia Power workers needing to access Dominion poles and lines.
The Arcola Road closure will be in effect until late summer 2019.
Arcola Boulevard is being constructed by a developer under a VDOT permit.
