LANE OF US 29 NORTH AT REGIONAL AIRPORT, CAMPBELL COUNTY, WILL CLOSE TEMPORARILY
LYNCHBURG, Va. – Motorists are urged to slow and use caution when encountering one lane of traffic on U.S. 29 North (Wards Road) in Campbell County near the regional airport on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
Beginning at 8:00 AM, a portion of the right (travel) lane of U.S. 29 North will close to allow crews to continue work on the bridge and approaches over Norfolk Southern Railroad. The closure will last throughout the day; area properties will be accessible during this work.
Signs and other devices will alert motorists to this change in traffic pattern.
W. C. English Incorporated is the prime contractor on this project scheduled for completion in July 2023.
