PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING DATE SET FOR CANDLERS MOUNTAIN ROAD INTERCHANGE ARTERIAL MANAGEMENT PLAN
Public invited to learn more about potential investments
LYNCHBURG —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a Citizen Information Meeting on December 3, 2019 to present the concepts and strategies for potential improvements to Routes 501 Business/128 and 29 Business at the Candlers Mountain Road/Lynchburg Expressway Interchange that will enhance safety and capacity along the corridor while balancing the needs of economic development and access management.
The meeting will be held at the Lynchburg Information Tech Building, 3550 Young Place, Lynchburg VA 24501 from 4 pm to 6 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to give citizens an opportunity to learn more about the plan, meet with VDOT representatives and provide input. These meetings will be held in open-house format and no formals presentations will be made.
Citizens may provide oral and written comments at the meeting or submit them by December 13, to Rick Youngblood VDOT District Planner, 4219 Campbell Ave., Lynchburg, VA 24501 or via email to rick.youngblood@VDOT.Virginia.gov. Please reference “Candlers Mountain Road Public Comments” in the subject line of any e-mail correspondence.
In case of inclement weather, the meeting will be held on December 10 at the same time and location.
