ROUTE 3 EASTBOUND NOW OPEN IN SPOTSYLVANIA

7 p.m. Final Update: All Lanes are now open on Route 3 eastbound near the Bragg Road intersection in Spotsylvania

1:30 p.m. Update: Two lanes are now open on Route 3 westbound near Bragg Road. Route 3 eastbound remains blocked due to a multi-vehicle crash. Detour remains in place. Expect delays in the area of Route 3.

12:40 p.m. Update: All lanes on Route 3 eastbound and westbound at Bragg Road remain closed due to a multi-vehicle crash. Route 3 westbound traffic is being detoured at Central Park Boulevard and Route 3 eastbound traffic is detoured at Taskforce Drive. Drivers should avoid the area if possible. Expect major delays on Route 3 and other feeder streets in the area around Route 3 and in the Fredericksburg area. 

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. –  All lanes of Route 3 eastbound are closed in Spotsylvania County near Bragg Road for a multi-vehicle crash, with additional westbound lane closures.

Motorists should avoid the Route 3 corridor in this vicinity and seek alternate routes. Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are traveling to the scene to assist with traffic control.
