OVERNIGHT I-95 LANE CLOSURES FOR CONSTRUCTION
I-95 southbound will be reduced to one lane overnight near exit 140/Courthouse Road in Stafford County and exit 130/Route 3 in Fredericksburg starting at 10 p.m. tonight
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Overnight lane closures are scheduled on Interstate 95 for several construction projects as part of the Improve 95 program.
Starting at 10 p.m. tonight, Jan. 10, I-95 southbound will be reduced to a single lane near exit 140 (Courthouse Road) in Stafford County and near exit 130 (Route 3) in the City of Fredericksburg. Double lane closures will end at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow, Jan. 11 with a single lane remaining closed near the interchanges until 10 a.m.
Overnight delays are possible with the work zones.
Drivers are encouraged to check 511Virginia.org for real-time traffic conditions.
Weather permitting, lane closures on I-95 southbound are scheduled at the following times:
Monday, Jan. 10– Tuesday, Jan. 11
• I-95 Southbound at Exit 140 (Courthouse Road) to Exit 136 (Centreport Parkway)
o 9 p.m. – 10 p.m. – Single lane closure
o 10 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. – Double lane closure
o 4:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. – Single lane closure
• I-95 Southbound at Exit 130 (Route 3)
o 9 p.m. – 10 p.m. – Single lane closure
o 10 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. – Double lane closure
o 4:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. – Single lane closure
All I-95 southbound lanes will reopen by 10 a.m. tomorrow.
