INTERSTATE 95 SOUTHBOUND CLOSED IN STAFFORD
Tractor-trailer fire and diesel fuel spill have closed all lanes south of exit 140 (Courthouse Road)
UPDATE (3:10 a.m.) -- All travel lanes on I-95 southbound remain closed for a tractor-trailer fire at mile marker 139 in Stafford County, but southbound traffic is being directed around the incident scene using the left shoulder. Motorists should expect significant delays, with several miles of congestion approaching the scene.
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Interstate 95 southbound is closed in Stafford County for a tractor-trailer fire and diesel fuel spill just south of exit 140 (Courthouse Road).
Emergency response crews are on scene at mile marker 139. No reopening time is immediately available.
More than one mile of congestion currently exists leading up to the closure. Motorists can expect to encounter major travel delays.
