I-95 NORTHBOUND CLOSED FOR CRASH IN STAFFORD
All lanes stopped north of exit 140 (Courthouse Road) for crash with medical flight

10:29 a.m. UPDATE: All lanes of Interstate 95 northbound have reopened at mile marker 142 in Stafford County.

10:06 a.m. UPDATE: Interstate 95 northbound has reopened at mile marker 142 in Stafford County after an earlier crash and medical flight. Two northbound lanes are open, and a single northbound lane remains closed.

Motorists should remain alert and use caution for emergency responders continuing to work at scene. Expect brief residual delays as congestion clears the area. Check 511virginia.org for real-time traffic and lane closure updates.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Interstate 95 northbound is closed in Stafford County north of exit 140 (Courthouse Road), near mile marker 142, for a vehicle crash involving a medical flight.

Motorists are advised to expect northbound travel delays in the Fredericksburg area. For northbound travelers approaching from the Richmond area, with destinations north of the Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. area, consider using exit 104 (Carmel Church) to Route 301 northbound as an alternate route.
