EXPECT OVERNIGHT DELAYS ON DOWNING BRIDGE SEPT. 28-29
Route 360 over the Rappahannock River in the Tappahannock area will be reduced to a single lane overnight on Wednesday and Thursday evenings for bridge washing

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 360 will be reduced to a single travel lane overnight at the Downing Bridge in the Tappahannock area on the evenings of Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29.

Travelers can expect brief delays at the bridge between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. both evenings. Automatic flagging assistance devices, operated by certified flagging crews, will direct one-way, alternating traffic through the work zone.

Crews will be washing the bridge. This routine maintenance activity removes residual salt and other materials that can contribute to deterioration of the structure.
